Overview

The construction plan of this project is propelled through an international competition which its goal is to construct a cultural park at the area north of the Han River, where there is relatively a lack of parks. The park is planned to have a main theme of ‘Go Forest’, which holds the meaning of ‘Let’s go to the forest’ and ‘Let’s go for a rest’. The park also holds various programs that hold the themes of ‘Learn’, ‘Relax’, and ‘Play’, and the exterior spaces and routes maximize the three themed buildings, and this is followed by several other routes spreading out to the outside. ? The steep slope of the site is settled with a circulation that is combined with the building and the streets, and the ridges of the main space that are divided like a valley, are woven with the buildings and streets. Through this, the park is integrated with the region’s culture and space, and it suggests a hybrid plan of urban, landscape, and architecture.
