The New Daegu Metropolitan City Hall should harmonize with the existing urban fabric while serving as a catalyst for the future. In response, we propose “Neo Forest”—a next-generation park where nature, the city, its history, and its future coexist. The core idea is to preserve the existing woodland and transform it into an open public park, developing it as Daegu’s representative civic open space that embraces everyday life. A hybrid canopy and smart cloud system connect the forest and the park, integrating advanced technologies such as solar energy and water circulation. Neo Forest is envisioned as a sustainable platform that supports citizens’ daily lives and future industries, responds to climate change, and fosters growth and communication. As an open space shaped together with citizens, it aims to become a pivotal place that brings together and amplifies Daegu’s urban vitality.
