Overview

This project is the world’s sixth facility of its kind to be constructed as a super high power Ultra-short laser producing research facility. It is important to plan as a research centered facility in careful consideration of specificity of the research institute as well as to have symbolism as a mecca of the future high-tech facility to be met 21 century such as informatization, internationalization and liberalization. This is a special research facility researching on photons, producing super-power laser beam for an extremely short time. As key ideas of the plan, both to create a symbolic image of being the world’s sixth facility and to emphasize the modern and frontier image of being the state of the art technology facility are focused on. Also, laboratory, research, and service-management areas, are zoned dynamically to allow circulation within the programs. As well as in order to provide a safe and optimal research environment, systems such as low vibration, radiation, clean rooms, temperature, and humidity are controlled.
