Overview

This project is aimed at creating an eco-friendly campus research group, staying with scientists and families together and especially a space to interact scientists and people. This creates new culture and allows a variable and complex research institute to research the basic science field and convergence by fields together. Based on a design concept of ‘Creative Science Alliance’ it suggests harmony of knowledge and creative interaction through harmony, balance and interaction between local societies. It proposes KAIST and GIST as an urban typed research Institute, DGIST, UNIST and POSTECH as a suburban typed research institute and GIST and DGIST as breakup type, which has higher portions of convergence research field in need of less equipment than cluster type. This Korea Basic Science Institute Campus functions as a complete small city, not just a place to research.
