Overview

Located at a valley where the natural scenery is well preserved, the project site is close to Cheongpyeong Lake and a hotel in the site has to be monumental and eco-friendly at the same time. The project plan is started from a small declaration, which is ‘the best monument is the nature’. A supportive facility where composed of various functions such as a subsidiary facility of a hotel, a facility for trainings and seminars of companies, and an art practice and education based cultural center minimizes damages to the original geographical features and is planned like as ‘putting down’ on nature. This large sized facility is divided by functions of each room and spaces between them enable to have direct experience of nature. A circular ring facilitating 300 rooms of a hotel contains a will to preserve the original geographical features and scenery and is planned like as ‘floating’ on nature.
