Overview

The concept called ‘Sponge that embraces children’s dreams’ was set up based on the geographical context located at a place connecting the city with nature, main users of children and science exhibition, and program context. This is applied in all the design fields as a keyword which created an integrated environment of architecture, exhibition, landscaping, and interior design. The building gives a tender and soft feeling that can be familiar to children and is composed of irregular and distinctive perforated elevation as well as diverse outdoor spaces possible for three-dimensional experience. Moreover, the flow of the site is designed to naturally cross inside and outside the building, and various sculptures, events, and attractions are provided at the central hall connecting all exhibition halls so that children can experience the joy of science.
