As a ballpark that shares the history of Daejeon citizens, the newly constructed Daejeon's new baseball stadium aims to revitalize the old city center and establish a new, differentiated sports complex. First, since the new ballpark in Daejeon, “Win Ground,” is the only professional baseball arena in Korea’s central region, HAEAHN Architecture implemented a new landmark in the old city center by presenting a mass design symbolizing Daejeon's dynamic image and the soaring spirit of its baseball team. Second, by transforming the entire Hanbat Sports Complex into a pedestrian-oriented cultural space devoid of vehicle traffic, the park was designed to provide Daejeon citizens with an open area for relaxation, daily sports, performing arts, commerce, and experiential programs. Third, reflecting the latest trends, an archive hall connected to the open-type main hall was planned, adding a key point of differentiation.
