Overview
GABIA’s philosophy—“connecting people with the internet, with each other, and with the world”—guided the design of its new headquarters at the foothills of Mt. Gwanak. The building is arranged in a “ㄷ” shape to embrace a central courtyard, creating spaces for recharge and interaction. Conceived as a small city, the complex integrates paths, yards, and buildings with nature, culminating in the GABIA Cultural Space—a hub for meeting, collaboration, and rest that vertically connects with the workplace. To enhance urban vitality, the office mass is elevated to open the ground floor, where the lobby, restaurant, and book café invite both employees and the local community. The façade features vertical louvers inspired by GABIA’s CI “Lightness,” providing both solar control and a symbolic presence within the city.
