Overview
As Edward H. Carr once has noted that history is a record of “an unending dialogue between the past and present", a work of architecture, too, is a record grafted into its site in an unending dialogue between the past and the present of the Site. Nick-named as “Land-Monument”, Seoul Metropolitan Archive is designed with principles to embrace the dialogues; thus the work of architecture becomes the record of the site. Seoul Metropolitan Archive particularly embraces dialogues of the land, the building, visitors, views, and nature, respectively.
