The Gyeonggi Architecture & Culture Awards, now in their 29th year, are hosted by the Gyeonggi Architecture Culture Festival Organizing Committee and co-organized by the Gyeonggi Province branch of the Korea Institute of Registered Architects and Gyeonggi Province. The awards aim to promote the development of architectural culture in Gyeonggi Province by recognizing outstanding architectural creations and honoring the clients, builders, and designers responsible for constructing buildings of cultural significance.
This year, 112 entries were submitted for the occupancy permit category, including 22 public, 39 non-residential, and 51 residential projects. The selection process involved three stages: an initial document review, a second panel review, and a third on-site inspection. Ultimately, 9 projects received the main awards, 13 received special awards, and 22 were recognized as honorable mentions.
