After graduating from Architectural department of Seoul National University, he studied urban design at the Graduate School of Environmental Studies. Since 1987, he has been a member of Gansam architects and has gained extensive experience in the design, supervision, and engineering of various buildings, as well as urban-related design such as masterplan and urban environment maintenance projects. In 1992, he was dispatched to Japan's Nikken Sekkei Tokyo (日建設計 東京), where he carried out Airports, Hotels in Tokyo, and some projects in China. In Gansam, He has been involved in many projects such as High rise apartments, Hotels and Headquarter office buildings, and Since 2010, he focused on the design of data centers and has various experiences. 2020, he joined the Urban design division in Haeahn Architecture.
