Overview

The building is designed with a concept called ‘Green Spiral’, which embodies an eco-friendly circulation and a dynamic coexistence, and is inspired from the soft and dynamic Korean traditional dance display. The exterior skin is designed as a shape of a wave that powerfully and flexibly interweaves civilization and human, and city and nature together. Piloti exterior space is created for waiting and events on the first floor and show rooms and attached facilities are provided on the second and third floors where exhibitions are held directing the visitors to move in circulation centering the elliptical cone. It is intended to establish the pavilion as another icon by using synthetic resin membrane materials with specially mixed colors to amplify soft projection and rhythmic sense, and reconstructing the building as an image of light by giving dynamic changes to the lights and colors at night times.
