The goal of the ‘Convergence Square’, which is located in the Pohang Accelerator Laboratory Complex, is the center of science belt for collecting regional research capacity and building a space and network for communicating with local community scientists. In order to continue the philosophy of the IBS (Institute for Basic Science) Headquarters, ‘Open Space for Communication and Exchange’, we planned ‘Creative Square’ considering characteristic of the sectoral system, ‘Community Square’ to make three-dimensional exchange between different fields of studies possible, and ‘Flexible Square’ to construct a space that can be varied and extended in various research activities.
